Top ten fitness influencers - the guys and the girls

Myself, Zac Perna, my friend (@k.fitt_12), Uzoma Ublior, my friend (@_deswilliams.fit), & Chris Bumstead
The freshman 15 is no joke. (or in my case, the freshman 30 but lets not talk about that) It wasn’t until I ran into fitness influencers on Instagram that I was able to get the inspiration and motivation that I needed to actually get my ass in gear and make changes to take better care of my body.

Influencers post workouts, healthy meals, supplements, clothing, and more. The workouts are the most helpful, in my opinion, as they help me be more confident in my workouts. They give full workouts plus videos so I know that I am doing them correctly. A lot of “influencers” may not have much training, so it is important to do research on each person before believing everything they have to say.

These are my favorite ten Instagram and Youtube influencers, in no particular order.

My ladiesssssss!
1.     Whitney Simmons - @whitneyysimmons
Hot Fire Flames!! Whit is probably my favorite of all the influencers. Her workouts are creative. She does monthly favorites, shows what’s in her gym bag, food shopping hauls and more.
2.     Krissy Cela – @krissycela
Looking at social media influencers, you are normally seeing a highlight reel. Krissy is as real as it gets when it comes to lacking motivation, acne breakouts, and more. She was also the absolute sweetest when I met her! She also got her law degree while being a fitness influencers. If she can do it, you can get to the gym.
3.     Ashley Barron - @ashleybarron.fitness
If a light and happy aesthetic is your cup of tea, Ashley is your girl. Her Instagram has the prettiest vibe to it. She has a great mix of lifestyle and fitness content.
4.     Suzie B - @suzie_kb
I’m sure you’ve never seen anyone do pistol squats this well. She is super strong and gives unique workouts!
5.     Linn Jacobsson - @linnjacobsson
To my ladies who need advice on how to stay in shape during or after pregnancy, Linn has got you! She’s due very soon so if you love babies, I’m sure her content will be amazing once her lil nugget is here.
6.     Meggan Grubb - @meggangrubb
Meggan’s Instagram is very lifestyle based but she’s another one who is very real. She tells you when she’s hungover. She’s open about her relationship and everything else going on in her life.
7.     Grace Fit –  @gracefituk
If youre interested in vegan living, look no further! Grace is always posting ways to be vegan friendly. She even sells fitness accessories that are vegan.
8.     Robin Gallant - @robingallant
Mental health isn’t always talked about, especially so publicly but Robin is super open about her anxiety and mental struggles that she deals with. Robin has a BSc biochemistry so she knows a lot about safety and targeting specific muscles.
9.     Nikki Blackketter - @nikkiblackketter
My shorter girls, my gamer girls, my girls with colorful hair, my cat girls – girls, let me just tell you, Nikki B is a legend. She’s a tiny little ball of energy with awesome lifestyle pics, and the best booty pics (with workouts to match, of course)
10.  Bailey Ducommun - @bodyfitbalance
With only 168k followers, Bailey isn’t quite as popular as some of the other influencers on this list, but I think everyone reading this can probably relate most closely with her. She’s a 20-year-old nursing student who is kicking ass at the gym at the same time. Her lower body transformation is INSANE.

 My guys!
1.     Uzoma Oblior - @uzoma_ublior
Uzoma is a natural bodybuilder who competes in Classic Physique IFBB Pro. His photos and videos are extremely high quality. Oh, and this man definitely doesn’t skip leg day!
2.     Steve Cook - @stevecook
If you check out our “meet the authors page” you’ll find a photo of myself and Steve Cook. He is my personal favorite but recently his content has been very travel based but hes finally gotten back into his fitness videos. Very funny and down to earth guy.
3.     Zac Perna - @zacperna
Easily the funniest person featured in this blog. Zac openly makes fun of his height by referring to himself as a hobbit. While he’s not wrong, it is important that he doesn’t fit the tall bodybuilder norm because it makes him relatable for my guys who might not be the tallest.
4.     Chris Bumstead - @cbum
Cbum is another bodybuilding competitor. He has been on the cover of Muscle Insider magazine, Muscle & Fitness magazine, and more. He knows what he’s doing.
5.     Calum von Moger - @calumvonmoger
Calum is another really funny guy. I recommend watching his YouTube which has a lot of good content from workouts to working through injuries. He also has some funny apparel and has his own supplements.
6.     Larry - @larrywheels
As a Strongman competitor and bodybuilding competitor, Larry’s workouts are very intense. He lifts heavy. A lot heavier than most viewers will be lifting but he’s also very motivating.
7.     Jeff Nippard - @jeffnippard
Jeff is a natural prop bodybuilder who is internationally qualified. I really enjoy Jeff’s content, especially on Youtube – even as a female. He goes into the science and strategy behind everything he talks about.
8.     Thor” Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson - @thorbjornsson
Guys, meet The Worlds Strongest Man 2018, Arnold Classic Champion 2018, 4x Europe’s Strongest Man, and 8x Iceland’s Strongest Man. Thor is nicknamed that for a reason. This man means business and lifts more than anyone else. Period.
9.     Bradley Martyn - @bradleymartyn
Keep an eye out on Brads Instagram story for a lot of giveaways. He has his own line of apparel and supplements. He does a lot of comical YouTube videos.
10.  Bret “Glute Guy” Contreras - @bretcontreras1
Bret has a PhD in Sports Science, so he knows the science. Especially for my ladies, follow this man to learn the best workouts for the booty gains!
